How the guides are made
Each guide covers one project or one skill, with a list of what you need and numbered steps. The instructions are written and then checked for clarity and practical sense: whether the steps are in a workable order, whether the measurements add up, and whether a beginner could follow them without guessing.
Materials are described by type rather than by brand, for example “a 15 mm roll of washi tape” or “white card stock”, so you can use whatever you already have. Measurements are given in inches with metric equivalents, and tape widths in millimeters, because that is how rolls are usually labeled.
The pictures on the site are original drawn illustrations made for these guides. They are not photographs of finished projects, and they are meant to show the idea and the steps clearly rather than an exact result.
What to keep in mind
The guides are general guidance. Washi tape varies from roll to roll in width, thickness, transparency and stickiness, and paper, paint and other surfaces vary too, so your result may differ from the description. Time estimates are approximate.
Washi tape is usually easy to remove, but it can still lift paint, wallpaper, varnish or delicate paper. Before you use it on a wall or any painted or finished surface, test a small piece on a hidden spot and leave it there for a day or two before you peel it off.
The site does not publish reviews, ratings or testimonials, and it does not recommend particular brands or stores.
