Terms of Use

Last updated: October 5, 2026

These Terms of Use apply to your use of Rede Ponto (redeponto.com, “the site”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

What the site provides

Rede Ponto publishes free washi tape craft ideas, tutorials and techniques for general information and personal enjoyment. The site is an informational resource. It does not sell products or services, and it does not offer professional advice of any kind.

No guarantee of results

Care is taken to keep the instructions clear and accurate, but the guides are general guidance and may contain mistakes. Washi tape differs between rolls in width, thickness and stickiness, and paper, paint and other surfaces differ too. The measurements, quantities and time estimates in the guides are examples to adapt, and no particular result is guaranteed.

Craft safety

You are responsible for working safely and for deciding whether a project suits your materials, your home and your skills. In particular:

  • Sharp tools. Scissors and craft knives can cause serious cuts. Cut on a cutting mat, use a metal-edged ruler as a guide, cut away from your body and your other hand, replace dull blades and store blades covered and out of reach of children.
  • Children. Children should craft under adult supervision. An adult should do any cutting with a craft knife. Small items such as tape cores, cut pieces and embellishments can be a choking hazard for young children.
  • Test tape on surfaces first. Washi tape can lift or mark paint, wallpaper, varnish, wood finishes, photographs and delicate paper, and it may leave residue after a long time or in heat or sunlight. Test a small piece on a hidden spot and leave it for a day or two before decorating walls, furniture, rented property, electronics or anything valuable.
  • Heat and flames. Washi tape is paper and it burns. Do not use it on or near candles, open flames, stoves, heaters, hot light bulbs or other heat sources, and do not wrap tape around power adapters or chargers that become warm. Jars or holders decorated with tape should only be used with battery-operated lights.
  • Food and skin. Washi tape is not made for direct contact with food and should not be used on skin.

Craft techniques and general ideas, such as covering a card with strips of tape, are free for anyone to use. The rights described here apply to the site’s own wording and illustrations, not to the ideas behind them.
